Description
Located in the heart of Auckland close to the large parks
and the shopping district, Aspect Academies offers its
students flexible options to ensure that they make the
most of their studies in New Zealand. For 20 years, students
from all over the world have enjoyed the academic services
provided by this academy, which has 18 classrooms, study
and computing centers with Internet and e-mail access
and a large library, besides cooking facilities and a
spacious recreation area inside as well as outside.
Accommodation
Aspect coordinators recommend that students stay in family
homes. The experience of sharing everyday life with a
local family is very enriching and allows students to
work on the English learnt in class.
If students choose to stay in hostels located close to
the School, the coordinators can advise them in finding
the hostel best suited to each individual student, be
it in single or double rooms.
Academics
The School offers over 20 courses on a regular basis.
The most popular is the Premier Intensive Course, a course
consisting of 30 lessons per week allowing students to
learn the basic principles of the English language quickly
and effectively. Courses have no more than 15 students
to each class. Also, Aspect has a great deal of experience
in preparing students for the international Cambridge
exams FCE/CAE/CPE with 30 intensive lessons per week,
and for the TOEFL exam, which is essential for those wishing
to enter universities in English speaking countries, with
40 lessons per week.
The School also offers Business English lessons, aimed
at those who are already working or for students with
international goals. Such courses are made up of 30 classes
per week with a maximum of 15 students per class.
Activities
An Activities Coordinator at Aspect helps students organize
their free time with an extensive range of interesting
cultural, social and sporting activities. Special emphasis
is placed on students interacting with each other, practicing
the language and above all having fun getting to know
New Zealand. Some of the activities students can participate
in include white water rafting, windsurfing and canoeing
during the summer, trips to Rotura (Maori cultural center)
and weekends camping in the Wilderness forest, visiting
the underwater caves and water holes
