Description
The School is found in Auckland’s city centre and
classroom windows allow students to see Waitemata’s
picturesque port. It has been receiving students from
all over the world since 1984. Recreation areas make up
an important part of school grounds. Such areas cater
for activities such as table tennis, chess, telephones
or simply enjoying a tea or soft drink.
Accommodation
The School participates in the student homestay program.
Families hosting students provide half board during weekdays
and full board on weekends. This creates a welcoming atmosphere
where students can get to know and take part in the customs
and traditions of the New Zealanders, fondly known as
kiwis.
Academics
Courses are formed according to student’s needs.
There are full day courses (5 daily lessons) or half day
courses (3 daily lessons). Individual classes may be taken
by students feeling the need to supplement their courses
and go into further detail. The School also offers exam
courses for the preparation of the Advanced Cambridge
and Cambridge Proficiency Exams.
Activities
Coordinators at the school organize diving excursions,
golf games, horse rides or mountain bikini and a variety
of water sports during the summer, such as sailing, kayaking
and windsurfing.
