Description
The School is found in the heart of Auckland and considered
the largest school in New Zealand. It was founded in 1989
and since then has been receiving students from all over
the world.
It has a library, a study hall, computing room with Internet
access, a free local telephone, overseas fax service and
a large common hall for students to study or simply chat
in.
Accommodation
There is a wide range of accommodation options for students
near the school. These include hostels with single or
double rooms, or family houses offering comfortable rooms,
breakfast and dinner on weekdays and full board on weekends.
Academics
The School offers Standard English courses with 3 lessons
per day, Intensive Courses with 5 lessons per day and
part time courses with also 3 lessons per day. Students
can also take classes during the morning and then supplement
them in the afternoons with other activities. For those
desiring to do so, the school offers Introductory Business
courses and international exam courses, in preparation
for TOEFL and IELTS examinations.
Activities
The School organizes traditional BBQ parties on weekends
and sporting activities in the afternoons, staring off
Fridays with windsurfing, sailing and diving, and outings
to the ski trails in winter.
