Description
Located on Mercury Bay, on the east coast of the Coromandel
Peninsula, the School is surrounded by spectacular beaches
and islands. For 10 years now, it has been welcoming students
from all over the world, who come to take English courses
which are adjusted to cultural differences and needs of
every student by means of student counselors.
Accommodation
The School arranges for student accommodation in family
homes, both for adults students as well as for those under
the age of 18. These families are carefully and specially
selected and have been hosting students for years. They
introduce students into the life and customs of New Zealanders,
and help them practice English.
Academics
The Intensive English Courses can last between 10 weeks
and 1 year, according to each individual student’s
requirements. These can also be combined together with
sporting or other activities during the afternoons, such
as golfing or horse riding along the beach. The School
prepares students for the international TOEFL, IETLS and
TOEIC exams. These intensive courses are very popular
among students.
Activities
Given the friendly atmosphere that is formed among students,
outings during free time are usually arranged by the students
themselves. These outings consist of activities on nearby
beaches, water sports during the summer and cultural excursions
to museums and galleries in the area.
